The Hanna Boys Collection Donates to Nicklaus Childrens Hospital

The Hanna Boys Collection is a family owned and operated business which is the dream of Johnny, Stephanie, Jameson and John Hanna!

I, Johnny, have a 33 year history with Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.  At just one week old I went there to see the pediatric cardiology team for a complex congenital heart defect.  The doctors and staff there have been the best and have become like family to me!  As an adult they still treat me due to the fact that this is a problem I was born with and cardiologists for adults are not as familiar with my issues.   When my sisters come looking for me in the children’s hospital they sometimes ask “Where is the patient with the beard?”  My heart issues are quite severe and I have a big family who has been with me through it all.  My parents were overwhelmed with the diagnosis, but the doctors and hospital staff have been so good to them as well!  I had my first open heart surgery at 3 years of age, and since then I have had pacemaker surgery 6 times, cardiac ablation twice, transesophageal echocardiograms, cardiac arrythmias (atrial flutter) which required cardioversion, and other procedures.  All of these have been done by the best cardiologists and cardiac surgeons in the world – Dr Subramanian, Dr Kanter, Dr Alsousany, Dr Fishberger, Dr Hannan, Dr Burke, Nurse practitioner Melissa Olen, and Dr Zakheim!

When we thought of building The Hanna Boys Collection one of my first desires was to contribute to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.  My family and I want to give back as a tribute to all the caring, wonderful people there, and to put smiles on children’s and parents’ faces as they face the unknowns that a patient and their family go through.  The kids might be able to ride the cars to some procedures or just go for a cruise in the hallways!  Let them be happy kids in the midst of everything!

We were able to host a really fun event on January 30, 2020. With the support of Give2Nicklaus4Kids, which culminated in donating 2 epic HB Supercars to the hospital.  It was great to see the smiles on the faces of children, parents, and staff that kids riding around in the cars brought!  I can never repay what the hospital has done for me!

We donated a beautiful purple 2020 HB McLaren 720S and a green 2020 HB Lamborghini SVJ.

McLaren 720S is a supercar for the kids. Supercar maker McLaren created a miniature 720S ride-on. The McLaren 720S replica ride-on comes in real McLaren colors and excites the kids with its charming colors like Azores Orange, Belize Blue, Lantana Purple, Onyx Black, and the list goes on. It includes a key, pedal, and engine noise. Parents can even control it via remote. Inside there is an MP3 player/ Bluetooth that plays music to entertain even more!

The Next HB Supercar we decided to donate was a 2020 HB Lamborghini SVJ. Which is another amazing kid’s supercar. The Lamborghini SVJ replica ride-on comes in real Lamborghini colors and excites the kids with its charming colors like Verde Ithaca Green, White, Onyx Black, Red, and the list goes on. It includes a gas pedal, and engine noise. Parents can even control it via remote. Inside there is an MP3 player that plays music to entertain even more! This is a complete package for the kids loaded with safety precautions.  So fun to ride in and drive!

As I mentioned, I will be forever grateful to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and all the individuals there who lovingly give of their expertise and care for children, and for some adults like me!  I am invited there to participate in some activities and to share my story and it is always a blessing.  I trust our donation will be a blessing to many young children for years to come!
